Join us for the 2nd workshop of our series, Creating Spirit, Practicing Presence, when we will explore music as spiritual practice. Music plays a significant role in worship at FUMC-Austin, with our choir, handbells, our pipe organ, and our congregational singing. Methodism is often recognized as “a faith that sings.” Why is music so important to us? Some might think these things are nonessential, however, we know better! Though we might not sing together at the moment, we can develop a creative spiritual practice with music to sustain us until we can be together again. Facilitated by Amy Wink, this workshop is for anyone who is curious about creative spiritual practices and enjoys music. You do not have to be able to sing or play an instrument! Zoom link provided after registration.
Creating Spirit, Practicing Presence: Have you considered developing a spiritual practice? What is a spiritual practice? Why even have one? Join us in a series of creative workshops, facilitated by Amy Wink, to explore and develop spiritual practices that deepen our relationship with God. This third workshop will explore the spiritual practice of bread making.
