FAQs
Finding the correct answer to questions you may have about First Church can be time consuming. Here are answers to some common questions. If your question is not answered here, you can email your question or call the church office at (512) 478-5684 for more information.
Question: When and Where is Children's Sunday School?
Answer: Our Childcare and Sunday School rooms are located on the first floor of our Education building, below the Murchison Chapel. Sunday School is 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
Question: What are the child drop off and pick up procedures?
Answer: All children, infants through 5th grade, are checked in by a guardian at one of our three check in stations on the first floor before being escorted to their classroom. There are two self-check in stations for registered kids; one is at the west entrance of the childcare hallway and other one is at the west entrance of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade hallway (to the right of Wesley Hall). The visitor check in station is between these two hallways (under the Sanctuary), and a church staff member or volunteer will help visitors check in and find their child’s classroom. Children must be picked up from their classroom by the adult who has the badge with the code matching the child’s.
Question: I am interested in volunteering, how do I get involved?
Answer: Please contact Lara Greene, Director or Children and Family Ministries at children@fumcaustin.org. Also, please visit our Get Involved page for more information.
