If you enjoy meeting new people, sharing FUMC facilities, and offering hospitality, please consider joining our newly forming Hospitality Team.

“Y’all come in this house.” The first time I heard that was arriving at the home of a neighbor I barely knew who had invited my little family to share their Thanksgiving dinner, knowing we were hundreds of miles from family of our own. I may not use those words, but I get to extend that hospitality to literally hundreds of people each year on behalf of FUMC as I stand at the door of the Family Life Center. In 2017 so far, 58 non-profits have used our facilities. I could write a small book to share with you the moving, funny, warm, sometimes exciting experiences I have offering hospitality to our visitors. As much as I would like to be here to greet every group personally, that isn’t always possible. Often I think how much better it would be if there were always someone here to say “Y’all come in this house” when our guests arrive. So, I’m issuing an invitation to be part of a newly forming FUMC hospitality team. Service can be once-in-a-while or on a regular schedule. It may be during the day or evening or weekend. We truly do have guests here nearly all the time. For first timers, I will work with you initially until you get comfortable in your new role. If you are interested or curious, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate the times and type of hosting you might like to do.
