Dear Church,
The time has come! We are ready to launch in-person worship in the Sanctuary at FUMC!
On June 6, we will begin offering in-person services at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. You can expect a worship service that brings together all of the essential elements of worship–gathering, singing the Church’s song, hearing God’s word, celebrating the Spirit’s movement among us–in a safe and responsible way.
The worship experience will be different, to be sure. Things like advance registration, capacity limits, mask requirements, and a shorter service will be our norm for a time, though we anticipate those things will be adjusted as we continue to move out of the pandemic. To see details about our upcoming worship services, please check our Worship Services Webpage.
We are just a couple of weeks away, and we can’t wait to see you in person and experience the movement of the Spirit among us. We will email you again on Monday, May 31 to remind you to register for our first Sunday back. In the meantime, we will still worship exclusively through our virtual formats for the next two Sundays, May 23 and 30. For now, take time to learn about what to expect, and spread the word about the coming change!
Now, more than ever, the concluding words of our weekly benediction will be my prayer for you:
May He bring you home rejoicing at the wonders He has shown you;
May He bring you home rejoicing, once again, into our doors!
With great anticipation,
Pastor Taylor
