Onward to Perfection: Reconciling Ministries Network Convocation

John Wesley encouraged Methodists toward perfection in the lifelong pursuit of love. Love looks like affirmation in the face of persecution, like kinship in the face of isolation, and like courage in the face of despair. It is in that spirit that the Reconciling Ministries Network, an organization of individuals and churches committed to the full inclusion of the Queer community in the life of the United Methodist Church, will gather on October 13-15 at First United Methodist Church of Charlotte, North Carolina, to celebrate 40 years of advocating for inclusion and intersectional justice. FUMC member Janet Duke, author of Parenting Transgender Children: A Guide For Keeping Your Family Strong and founder of the Strong Family Alliance, will present one of the pre-convocation workshops offered on October 12. Post-convocation workshops will also be available on October 16.
