Despite the near complete integration of capitalism and American Christianity, many progressive theologians have noted the conflict between capitalist consumerism and the more austere–but meaning-filled–life lived by Christ and his earliest followers. This month, we’ll dig into this tension between capitalism and Christianity and try to answer the question, “Are capitalist values compatible with Christianity?” Meals are provided for everyone who registers by March 25!
