Worship Services

Sunday
Wednesday

9:00 a.m. Sanctuary

Young Min Son: Liturgist
John McMullen: Preacher

This service is distinguished by its blend of more traditional hymns with a contemporary sound. Holy Communion* is served weekly.

12:10 p.m. Murchison Chapel

Young Min Son & Clifton Stringer: Liturgist

Every Wednesday afternoon we gather for a brief worship service including prayer, singing, silent meditation, and sharing Holy Communion.

It is a great way to help keep a sense of God’s presence in the middle of the week and at the center of our lives.

9 a.m. Murchison Chapel

Kathleen Jones & Clifton Stringer: Liturgists & Preachers

The Reverends Clifton Stringer and Kathleen Jones serve as preachers for this service.

The size and arrangement of the Chapel brings a feeling of intimacy and informality to the services there. The style of worship might be best described as “blended”, combining United Methodist liturgy with elements from other traditions, along with a wide variety of music.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month.

7 p.m. Murchison Chapel

Kathleen Jones: Preacher

A candlelight service of instrumental and sung music, guided prayer, and preaching, followed by a time of fellowship. Kathleen Jones is the preacher for this service.

9:00 a.m. In Room 212 of the Sanctuary Building

Contemplative Worship

Mimi Raper: Leader

The Reverend Mimi Raper leads
this service, focused on being still
and quiet in community, practicing the presence of God in the present moment.

The service begins with a reading, a poem, or a passage from the Bible, followed by time for reflection, and then brief sharing of those reflections by those who feel led to do so.

The service concludes with a time of silence, a time of prayer, without words.

11 a.m. Sanctuary

Kathleen Jones: Liturgist
Mimi Raper: Liturgist
John McMullen: Preacher

This traditional service is characterized by great choral and congregational music. A children's sermon is also included.

*Holy Communion is served weekly in three of our services, and in all services on the first Sunday/Wednesday of the month.
