Rev. Kathleen Jones, Kathryn Tullos, and Mark Morris
January 31, 6-7:30 p.m.
Room 104 of the Family Life Center
Many people are reluctant to lead classes, whether Sunday School or Adult Discipleship, because they find the idea of speaking before other adults to be intimidating. Instead, we invite you to think about sharing something you care about, something that matters to you, with others. You will learn as you prepare for your presentation, and others will benefit as you explore your topic together. There also are many resources and strategies that make the process much easier than you imagine.
Three FUMC members with many years of teaching and leading groups of adults, both in and outside of the church, are offering this class for anyone who would like to help lead our community of learning.
Rev. Kathleen Jones served over 50 years on the staff of First Church and is a much-beloved educator. Kathy Tullos has taught law school for over 25 years, as well as many classes at First Church. Mark Morris is a frequent speaker in legal education programs, a frequent teacher in First Church Sunday School and adult education classes, and a long-time member of the Prodigals men’s study group, where members take turns leading lively discussion.
There is no cost for the class, and there are no required materials.
