Welcome to Selah!

“Selah” is a Hebrew word. Some people think it means “lifted up” or “exalted.”

Selah is a community dedicated to the worship of God: lifting up and exalting the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are from all over Austin. We meet in home fellowship groups Wednesday evenings, and we worship together downtown on Sunday morning.

We are sent to take part in God’s mission in Austin, Texas, and abroad.

We are members within First United Methodist Church of Austin, with whom we share a common articulation of our mission:

To make the best use of every resource entrusted to us by God in order to bring as many people as possible into a lasting, life changing relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

We want to share, spread and declare the love of God throughout creation in practical ways.
