Congregational Care is at the heart of our life at First Church. Our commitment is to provide a ministry that will help people at all ages and stages of life to feel loved, nurtured and supported.First Church continues to seek ways of being sensitive to the needs of our community of faith. At the present time we provide support in the following areas:
Ministry to Children and their parents:
We provide a safe, nurturing environment
Sunday school for all ages beginning with children
Pre-baptism sessions
Flowers on the alter celebrating the child's baptism
Parenting classes
Confirmation classes
Ministry to Youth:
A vital and active ministry in the life of this church.
Ministry to Young Adults:
Sunday School classes
Pre-Marriage Counseling
Ministry to Single Adults
Ministry to Adults
Ministry to Older Adults:
A vital ministry for active seniors
Homebound Ministry
Nursing Home Ministry
We also have outreach available for persons in hospitals.
FUMC Members are greeted with a card on their birthday as our way of saying, "You matter".
