Congregational Care Team Needs You

Provides love, nurture, and support when a member of FUMC dies or when family of an FUMC congregant passes away. The team offers to help with a reception at the church for a memorial or funeral service and coordinates these efforts with the church, the family and Sunday School class. Blood Bank Ministry
Makes arrangements to have the blood bank come to the church four times a year. They also schedule members who wish to donate blood. Contact Laurie Barr at email@example.com or 512-478-5684 (ext. 200).
Care Callers Ministry
Visits on a monthly basis to members who are in nursing homes or assisting living facilities. Individuals are identified by zip code to assist the volunteer’s visit. Contact Dick and Jimmie Sue Francis at firstname.lastname@example.org or 512-306-0087.
Provides transportation for older adults to enhance their ability to continue to live independently. Volunteer opportunities are strictly at your convenience rather than a specific day and time. Mental Health Ministry

Prayer Callers Ministry
Conducts a few weekly telephone calls to those who offer prayer concerns during Sunday worship services. Contact Andrea Peck at email@example.com.
“Knit Wits” Prayer Shawl Ministry
Knit or crochet shawls that are provided to FUMC members or to individuals requested by FUMC members who are ill or suffering. Don’t know how to knit? No problem, they’ll teach you! Contact Carol Dickerson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 512-345-0619.
Connects individuals and their families struggling with addictions with the appropriate resources. Numerous groups meet weekly at FUMC. Contact Libby Sykora at email@example.com or 512-478-5684 ext. 203.
