Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Austin. We are glad that you have come our way, and we pray that we might be a blessing in your life.
Our congregation offers a number of places where you and yours will be engaged by God through worship, study, and mission.
Our life centers around six weekly services of worship. There are four on Sundays - 9:00 & 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary, 9 & 11 a.m. in the Chapel - and two services on Wednesdays - a service of Holy Communion at noon and an evening worhsip at 7 p.m. in the Chapel.
We have a diversified education program with both weekly and special learning experiences for all ages.
An important part of our life together is service. Mission opportunities abound - both short and long term. There are also numerous places to serve within this congregation: teaching; participating in our music program; helping in worship, visiting those in the hospital or those who are homebound; volunteering in the office; ... and many others. We believe that people given the opportunity to live out their faith will find that faith to be enriched.
This is a congregation made up of many different types of people, all working together for the glory of God and the building up of God's kingdom.
